I was really excited to get this backpack because I had been carefully searching for a backpack that had to fit my 17 inch laptop. This is a well constructed product made of quality materials. The color is a true red as I thought it would be and not a hot pink as it appears in the ad.
I have read a lot of different opinions about what size laptop fits in it. I have a Sony Vaio that measures 15 1/8 inches long and it fits nicely. I'm not sure that it would fit if it were much longer.

I bought this bag as an alternative to the traditional backpack because I wanted to be able to travel with a bag securely on my back with no hands needed. I really love this bag. I've taken great care of it but for some reason the sewing near the zipper is coming undone and now I can see inside my bag... Finding a reasonably priced laptop rolling notebook case bag for a 17" laptop is challenging at best. But the Targus fit the bill. The heaviest thing about the bag is the actual computer you put in it. There is plenty of room for all the equipment and supplies needed to a meeting and it travels wonderfully. The only problem I have is getting the rolling handle out - arthritis in my fingers sometimes makes it a challege. Nothing Targus can do about that issue.

Pros: Great Bag for the new big screen 18.4" laptop. There aren't many carrying cases for this size laptop available. Good long locking handel and lots of compartments.

Cons: (very minor) Shoulder strap will not retract enough so it won't get caught under the wheels when pulling the case. You have to tuck it in the pulling handel while rolling.

This laptop backpack is great- I have had it for about 2 months now and it still looks as good as the day I bought it. Nicely padded area for my 15.4 inch Toshiba laptop. Plenty of storage for other items like charger, notebooks, pens, etc. The straps of the backpack are thickly padded and very comfortable- granted I do not fill the bag too heavy, but I have in there feels OK on my shoulders.

There is room for my laptop and accessories, along with a few folders. I can even fit my portable CD player in there, too. There is a cell phone pouch on the strap, which is really convenient.
