If your looking for a great bag that you can carry your laptop, slr with -2-3 lenses, and some additional accesories look no further. I especially like that the bag when placed on the floor can stay upright and not fall over like most other bags. Laptop and SLR sections have their own compartments each well paded.

"A place for everything! A bit heavy.. but worth it." 2009-04-27
By Joye Lynn (atlanta, ga)
This bag is one of the only ones I could find with padded compartments for cameras and a laptop and does an exceptionally good job at both. There are 3 main compartments - 1 padded area along the back for a laptop (easily fits my 17" Mac); the top half of the front is an open compartment, decent size (but not too generous) could fit a change of clothes; and the bottom half of the front has multiple padded sections for a large camera, external flash, extra lenses and plenty of cables. My dad has had this bag for over 2 years and it has held up extremely well. I'd highly recommend it - it is a bit heavy even with nothing in it because of all the padding and durable fabric but is quite comfortable when on your back.

 "Photo backpack" 2009-04-26

Good for a short person--fits comfortably on shoulders and not too long on your back. Sturdy material, lots of options for storing photography equipment with numberous velcro straps and dividers. The rust color is a nice alternative to all black. The compartment on the top will hold a jacket and a snack for a hiking excursion, but not much more.

"Probably the best of its kind in this category-but beware!" 2009-04-19
By JackOfMostTrades (Washington, DC)
This is a product for the modern traveler. Forget the toothbrush and soap and underwear. This is a virtual world carrier designed for the technological warrior, so to speak, although it does have a compartment that is labeled 'for personal items.' If you are tired of getting your shoulder pinched by heavy shoulderbags and handbags, this will definitely help. It also has two slots on the bottom through which you can thread two flat strap and clip fasteners and carry a tripod or monopod vertically. My only suggestion is be considerate of other people, so if you're in a packed location, like a bus, train, or public exhibition, move very carefully so as not to poke someone in the face with the edge of your laptop. The other proviso is that while this item is designed to save physical wear and tear on the body when traveling, if you use this item you are probably one of those manic, modern affluent verbal types who will, after a number of years develop repetitive stress disorder since this convenient produce will just encourage you to work more, stress out more, and soon you'll feel like Atlas. Instead of the world on your shoulders, it will be information flooding your head. But...

Then one day, you'll be walking across a suspension bridge with your tamrac, full of gear, think about what has become of your life--oh yes, I was going to live in Southern France and start a vineyard. I was going to live in Barcelona and write experimental novels. I was going to fall in love, have an even more Moveable Feast, and on and on. Then you'll have an epiphany that the only way to go after your original dream will be to take the thing on your back that's filled with 40-50 pounds of hi-technology that's programmed with all the latest killer apps, and toss it over the railing, and wait till you hear the sweet sound of it hitting the water.

Well, it's better than throwing yourself off. I bought mine during a 30% off sale, so it will be easier for me to expend it, but maybe I should take out my laptop and two Nikons first. See you at the bridge.

 "Pleased" 2009-04-01

I needed something that would hold two camera bodies and a few extra lenses and a laptop. This bag is perfect for that. I love the amount of space it has, it holds everything I need it to hold. If I get more equipment though, I'll need more room. The only thing I've noticed that I don't like is the zipper on the laptop compartment. It's so tough to open. I like my zippers smooth! Overall this is a great buy! It's very sturdy and feels like it's protecting my equipment.
