There are 4 other zipper pouches, two on the front, one on the front flap, and one on the back. It fit my 17in 2in wide laptop along witht the before mentioned items. If the laptop wasn't in there then it could hold more...maybe 2 more textbooks.

I love the bag, however the compartment should be a little smaller. Because I am petite it "dwarfs" me.

Also it would be nice if you had a smaller compartment inside for pens or small objects. Overall it is a great bag.

This bag is bigger than it looks. I was able to fit my 17 inch laptop and at least three outfits for a weekend getaway. It also comes with a bottle opener that dangles in the front of the bag. Very useful.

This is the perfect laptop backpack if you have a 17" laptop. It is large enough to hold my laptop, charger, and mouse with plenty of room to spare. It securely holds the laptop in large pocket that would be right by your back, but there is plenty of padding both in the bag and on the straps. Despite the size and ability to hold all of that, it looks like a stylish backpack as opposed to a laptop bag.

I use this backpack to get my 17 inch dell and all accessories everywhere on my motorcycle. The padding on the shoulder straps keeps from causing my back undue stress. There are two extra pockets on the front under the flap. Very well made. No complaints!

I needed a new laptop bag for my Gateway FX, and this thing did the trick. My laptop has a 17 inch screen, and is exceptionally large. It fit perfectly. Great design, cool color, very sturdy construction. Plenty of room for a big laptop plus room for a couple books, battery charger, and whatever else you may need. I also really like how the front flap has two plastic buckles instead of a zipper, which makes for very easy access. Would definitely recommend this bag.

I bought this for my new laptop and have been very happy with it. It does not look like the typical laptop case, so I fancy it is less a target for theft if seen through my car window. You can wear it when biking or just walking around campus. The padded compartment is only lightly padded, so I added the Belken neoprene sleeve:Belkin Neoprene Notebook Sleeve for 17-Inch Laptop (F8N049-BR) With the combination, I feel very secure. There is still plenty of room left over for several books, a power strip, headphones, mouse, mouse pad...

Okay, so maybe it's a little unproffessional showing up to business meetings with a back pack, but when you're lugging around a 17" notebook the messenger style strap eventually just has to go. The Caselogic Canvas Backpack is not overly ostentacious, has plenty of storage space even AFTER you have put in your 17" notebook, and feels comfortable and rugged at the same time. You can't go wrong with the price. All in all, a great deal.

I purchased this bag to replace a belkin laptop bag I had been using to the limit. I am an IT professional and am also in college so I need to carry a lot of stuff. My belkin bag would hold my laptop and a few accessories and be bulging at the seams. This bag however is currently holding:

-Nokia N810

-Blackberry Curve cables, chargers

-Logitech Headset

-4 15' CAT5e cables

-iPod Nano

-2 Snes controllers

-3 USB cables

-19 in 1 memory card reader

-flat wire cutters

-RJ45/RJ11 crimping tool

-portable HDD

-misc. cable adapters

-2 MiniDV tapes



AND I still have room for way more in the main pouch. The only time I have filled this to the limit is when I was in a hurry and stuffed a spindle of 100 CD-R's to bring to a friends house. This bag would be great for anyone who uses a laptop and needs the space to carry more stuff than an average user. I would recommend this for people who also have a kindle and school books to lug around as well.

The straps are comfortable and durable, the zippers seem strong enough to hold up to major usage, but the main compartment is maintained with 2 plastic clips that are nice and strong as well.



People looking for a bag to carry just a laptop should probably avoid this bag though as it a bit large, but if you see yourself toting a small country on a daily basis this is a great bag!!
