I bought this bag as a carry-on. I wanted to be able to take my SLR on the plane as well as my laptop. I wanted a bag that would allow me to do both while protecting both. Alas, this bag. It did its job. I packed a widescreen HP Pavilion Entertainment laptop with power cord. I packed a little point and shoot digital camera. I packed a Canon Rebel digital SLR with two lenses. I packed misc. items like ipods, a book, a wallet, keys.... I rode on a regional jet. The backpack fit in the overhead compartment with no problems. I did not pack the back to full capacity. As it was I thought the bag was pretty weighty. For my own back's sake I would not have wanted to increase the load although the bag was not at capacity. The bag had no problems carrying this load. I felt condfident that the bag was constructed to carry this weight. After the trip, I did not find any signs of stress wear on the bag. All in all I am extremely happy with this purchase.

Although Pricy, this is hands down the best pack I have ever owned. With this I am able to carry my 17" Macbook Pro, cords, mouse, a notebook or two, my digital SLR, and 2 additional lenses. Remove the camera and I have enough room to carry a great deal of misc. items.
This pack is tough... the Nylon shell is the thickest I have seen, and although I haven't tried it in monsoon, it does shed water rather well in a light rain. It is comfortable to wear over one shoulder or both. The padding that interfaces with my back (also part of the padding surrounding the Mac) seems at least 1/2" inch thick. and is quite comfortable. As of yet I have not dropped the pack with the Mac inside... but I am confident that from less than a few feet it would be fine. Hopefully I will never need to test this hypothesis.
Overall its a great bag... it does what I need it to do. It looks good, but at the same time it does not yell "Im a Laptop bag, steal me!" Although this would be hard to do these days since I am rarely parted from it.....

I was in need of a bag to hold my MacbookPro and my Canon Digital Rebel XTi, and I needed one that was all black so I could wear it in uniform while serving in the Navy. This bag being a bit more stylish than normal camera bags/laptop bags didn't hurt either!
Pros:
This bag securely and safely holds my MBP, as well as my DSLR with a 17-85mm lens attached with room for two more lenses in the side pockets of the camera casing. The camera case is removeable from the front pocket holder (and reinsertable with it's two velcro strips), making more room in the bottom for other things if you're not bringing your camera along!
It also has a magazine/book slot in the main pocket, as well as extra room for things such as mouse, power adapters, clothes, etc...
There is an additional pocket in the very front that can hold smaller items such as cell phone, usb adapters, laptop cords, etc.
Some cons I can think of:
1. Crumplers website was a real turn off for me! - [...]-Crazy product names and descriptions! Made me wonder if this was a company I wanted to do business with.(especially after careful price considertion)
Expensive! (That's pretty self explanatory I think)
Colors are sometimes whacked out....I needed a plain black or blue color on the outside of the bag...but did I mention that the interior of the bag is a bright lime green color? I don't understand why they made it that color..it's not horrible it's just...strange!
All in all, I am very impressed with this bag and the quality of crumplers product.
